A history of brickwork companies with in Fife with mining connections

It is a little known fact that coalmining and brickmaking have many connections in Fife.

In the following pages we hope to document these connections. As always any help would be appreciated.

Brick collecting has become very fashionable as houses and buildings are demolished, some forgotten brick and tile works are being researched and if you are a collector an wouldlike to have your bricks added to our collection of Fife bricks please contact me - dave reid.

Dr Myles Ogilthorpe has made reference to a collection of Scottish Brickmarks that needs to be updated. If you have any information on Fife or Scottish Bricks please contact the society.
